Mai Tai
Ingredients
- 2 oz white rum (see notes below)
- 1/4 oz dark rum (optional)
- 3/4 oz Fresh lime juice
- 1/2 oz Orange Curaçao
- 1/4 oz Orgeat
- 1/4 oz Rich simple syrup
Instructions
- Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker and fill with ice.
- Shake for 15-20 seconds, or until the outside of the shaker feels cold.
- Strain into a double old-fashioned glass or tiki mug filled with fresh ice.
- Add a dark rum float.
- Garnish with a spent lime shell (green side up) and a sprig of mint. Gently slap the mint between your hands before adding it to release its aroma.
